Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our team in a chilled environment.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to ensure production targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out high-level static and dynamic maintenance on all equipment.
  • Input into continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards at all times.
  • Assist the Site Services team leader / Manager when required with projects.
  • Coordinate activities in cases of emergencies such as Fire Alarms or Chemical spillages.

You Will Need:

  • A formal engineering apprenticeship and relevant academic qualifications to suit your experience.
  • Steam boiler, pumps, motors, and gearboxes knowledge.
  • Proven hands-on mechanical and electrical experience in an FMCG chilled environment.
  • Highly self-motivated, have enthusiasm for achieving exceptional results and be able to work effectively both on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Clear understanding and awareness of legislative, health and safety and environmental requirements.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement would be an advantage to drive the change from a "reactive culture" to a "proactive culture".
