Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Shift: Days
Industry: FMCG & Processing
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a days role at an established Plastics Processing company based in Spalding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, overhaul, service, and commission equipment in line with good engineering practice and relevant standards.
- Work in our workshop and on customers' sites, identifying faults, carrying out repairs, and rebuilding equipment as necessary.
- Provide reports for any equipment overhauled both on site and in the workshop.
- Observe health and safety procedures and policies while at site.
- Explore opportunities for Service growth and ensure customers are aware of our Service and Workshop capabilities.
- Provide assistance to customers during the installation and commissioning, service, and repair of industrial equipment.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, engineering, or Fitter experience.
- Electrical knowledge of control panels and motors is advantageous.
- Experience in stripping down mechanical assemblies into component parts and rebuilding using best industry practices is essential.
- Practical problem-solving skills.
- Time served Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship desired but not essential as training will be provided.
- Full UK Driving license.
