Risk Management Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Analyst Lead to join our Forecasting & Stress Testing team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering regulatory and internal forecasts and stress tests, working closely with Risk Analysts and Senior Risk Analysts under the guidance of a Risk Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of regulatory and internal forecasts and stress tests, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the wider society's plans.
- Develop productive relationships across Nationwide to ensure our outputs are accurate and relevant to the wider society's plans.
- Improve your own knowledge on credit risk and share outcomes and learnings from individual projects with the wider team.
- Undertake analysis into both historic and future portfolio behavior.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in statistical and analytical tools such as SAS and SQL, and proficiency with key Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A good understanding of the financial services sector.
- Previous experience of analyzing and interpreting data in a professional environment.
- Self-motivation, articulation, and high numeracy, with experience of presenting and explaining findings to others.
- Experience of building relationships and communicating with confidence, while also working well on your own initiative.
