Electrical Project Engineer Opportunity

We are working with a leading construction and engineering company to find an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their MEICA team in Exeter.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Project Engineer to work on various infrastructure projects, including waste water projects, as part of a 5-year framework with South West Water.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met
  • Review subcontractors' designs for buildability, operation, and maintenance
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting quality and compliance standards
  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout project delivery
  • Manage client communications and present project updates to stakeholders
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and other team members
Requirements
  • BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in electrical engineering, ideally within building services, MEICA, or infrastructure projects
  • Desirable: SMSTS, SSSTS & an EUSR Blue Card
  • Experience managing project teams and coordinating between various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with industry-standard design software (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Understanding of waste water and related MEICA engineering; experience on water frameworks is ideal
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • An understanding of project financials, contracts, and risk management
