About the Role

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Midwife Professional Development Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced midwife to take on a key role in the design, development, and delivery of education work streams across the North West Maternal Medicine Network.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop educational programs for midwives in collaboration with education teams and universities, ensuring these programs meet professional standards and policy requirements.
  • Establish mechanisms to track compliance with professional development and coordinate training initiatives within the NW Maternal Medicine Network.
  • Support the creation of a learning environment, encourage skill development among Maternal Medicine professionals, and maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge for effective teaching and mentoring.

Key Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Registered midwife with significant experience post-registration.
  • Recognised teaching/assessing qualification and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to work under pressure.
