About the Role

Henderson Scott is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our team in Cheltenham. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our software applications using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring Data, and JEE containers
  • Work with our team to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and services
  • Develop and maintain APIs and microservices using Java and related technologies
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software deployment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Java development with a strong understanding of Java fundamentals
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and JEE containers
  • Knowledge of AWS and cloud-based technologies
  • Strong understanding of APIs and microservices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Desirable Skills

  • 2+ years of commercial experience in Java development
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, or React
