About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils with autism and complex needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting pupils with their learning through engaging and interactive activities.
  • Managing daily schedules, including activities, breaks, and rest time.
  • Providing emotional and physical support to pupils, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Fostering pupil growth, self-esteem, and independence.

Qualifications and Requirements

GCSE or equivalent in Maths and grade C or above in English or equivalent.

About Us

Oakfield House School is an outstanding Primary School for autistic pupils and those associated with Autism/Learning or Complex Communication and Behaviour needs. Our school is a country house built in the 1880s, set in eight acres of beautiful parkland.

We cater for 45 boys and girls aged between 4 – 12 years old and have been judged as Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted.
