Overview

At Shell UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Energy Market Analyst to support our trading team with in-depth analysis of key market drivers. This role is critical in identifying opportunities for commercial gain and developing strategies to maximize profits.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have expertise in analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and developing models to inform business decisions. They will work closely with short-term and medium-term natural gas and emission analysts to develop market views and propose trading strategies. Additionally, they will be responsible for improving or following project-improving models used by the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields required.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Python, MS Windows environment, and SQL database interface.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, career development opportunities, and a range of employee perks.
