About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontractor Manager to join our team at Hydro-X. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with key suppliers to support our operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and oversee the onboarding process
  • Negotiate and agree rates with subcontractors for air and water works
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of planned works
  • Plan and manage the auditing of subcontractors
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) with subcontractors
  • Identify gaps in our subcontractor offerings
  • Report on performance and provide insights for improvement
  • Embed a structure to ensure all team members are trained and equipped to deliver work
  • Take ownership and responsibility for delivering services for key contracts
  • Liaise with regional ROMs, FSMs, Ams, and Planning to achieve monthly compliance of all contractual work
  • Control departmental spend within agreed budgets and provide regular reports to your Manager
  • Involve SHEQ in the event of an incident/accident and represent Marlowe Environmental Services during investigations and corrective actions

Requirements:

  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of running a departmental P&L
  • Client service skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic planning experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate and implement decisions effectively
  • Time management skills
  • Subcontractor management experience is desirable, as is knowledge of water treatment and air hygiene
  • Valid driving license
  • Compliant DBS and Security checks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
