About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontractor Manager to join our team at Hydro-X. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with key suppliers to support our operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and oversee the onboarding process
  • Negotiate and agree rates with subcontractors for air and water works
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of planned works
  • Plan and manage the auditing of subcontractors
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) with subcontractors
  • Identify gaps in our subcontractor offerings
  • Provide regular performance reports
  • Embed a training structure to ensure team members are equipped to deliver work
  • Take ownership of delivering services for key contracts
  • Liaise with regional ROMs, FSMs, Ams, and Planning to achieve monthly compliance
  • Manage departmental spend within agreed budgets
  • Investigate and report on incidents/accidents, and represent Hydro-X during investigations
  • Implement operational improvements and efficiencies
Requirements
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of running a departmental P&L
  • Client service skills
  • Commercial awareness and strategic planning experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and implementation skills
  • Time management skills
  • Desirable: subcontractor management experience, water treatment, and air hygiene knowledge
  • Valid driving license
  • Compliant DBS and security checks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
