Asset Analyst - Warwick (Hybrid)

National Gas is leading the transition to a clean, reliable, and affordable energy future for everyone. Our skilled colleagues bring gas to 23m homes and over 500,000 businesses, including heavy industries and power stations that keep Great Britain's lights on.

We're looking for an experienced professional to join our Asset Modelling team, a key part of our GT Asset Strategy function. This team develops and manages the decision-making tools that shape asset investment plans for the UK's gas transmission network, ensuring alignment with business objectives, asset investment drivers, and performance goals.

As an Asset Analyst, you'll help drive the optimisation of asset investments by supporting the development of asset and investment models. Your work will also involve engaging with industry regulators, helping to monitor our progress towards regulatory targets, and producing the Regulatory Reporting Pack (RRP) for Ofgem.

The role requires a strong focus on improving asset risk modelling capabilities, validating data used in risk and investment models, and running scenarios to generate optimised plans that reflect our long-term network strategy and Asset Management Objectives.

As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick and home working. You'll need to be able to travel into the Warwick office approximately 2-3 times a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain asset and investment models to support business objectives
  • Engage with industry regulators to monitor progress towards regulatory targets
  • Produce the Regulatory Reporting Pack (RRP) for Ofgem
  • Improve asset risk modelling capabilities and validate data used in risk and investment models
  • Run scenarios to generate optimised plans that reflect our long-term network strategy and Asset Management Objectives

Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical modelling techniques
  • Institute of Asset Management certificate
