Job Title: Senior Clinical Photographer Lead

The Christie NHS FT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Photographer Lead to join our Medical Illustration Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead the clinical photography team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging services.



About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Photographer with a degree in clinical photography or equivalent experience, who has excellent leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the clinical photography team, including planning workloads, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.



Key Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical photography services to patients across various specialties, including oncology, colorectal, urology, gynaecology, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
  • To manage the technical processes for the sharing and dissemination of information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to Caldicott principles and data protection regulations.
  • To supervise junior staff and assist in their development, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • To participate in cost improvement schemes and make effective contributions to income generation targets.
  • To propose new purchases within own area of work and ensure that equipment is up to date to run the clinical photography service.


What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and career progression.



Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in clinical photography or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising junior staff.
  • Good computer literacy and sound knowledge of digital imaging and photo editing software.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
