Activities Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Activities Worker to join our team at Gloucestershire House, a purpose-built building providing support for 36 adults with physical disabilities. As an Activities Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering a range of engaging social and recreational activities, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a variety of activities, including outings, events, and creative pursuits, to cater to diverse interests and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored support.
- Contribute to the development of activity programmes, ensuring they are inclusive, engaging, and meet the needs of our residents.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as necessary to ensure high-quality experiences.
Requirements:
- No prior experience in activity work is required, but a passion for delivering engaging activities and a willingness to learn are essential.
- An artistic flair, great organisational skills, or interest in arranging fantastic social activities is a must.
- A manual driving licence held for at least 2 years is required.
- Previous experience of activities work or working with and supporting people with disabilities is advantageous.
