About the Role

FareShare is seeking a skilled Trusts and Grants Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in securing funding to support our mission of reducing food waste and hunger in the UK.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain relationships with trusts, foundations, and statutory funders to secure funding for FareShare's programs and services.
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities, and develop persuasive proposals to secure funding.
  • Work closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and other team members to develop and implement a comprehensive funding strategy.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of funder interactions and financial records.
Requirements
  • Experience in trust fundraising, with a proven track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive proposals and reports.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify new funding opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
