Assistant Civil Design Engineer

Our client, a leading UK-based engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Assistant Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in civil engineering and a proven track record of working on flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and residential drainage designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
  • Surface water management plans
  • Drainage strategy and detailed residential drainage and sewerage design using AutoCAD, Infodrainage, and Microdrainage
  • Drainage area planning
  • Road design
  • Highway design

Requirements:

  • BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering
  • Dissertation focused on SuDS design or flood risk assessments
  • Experience working for a UK-based consultancy or local authority
  • Proficiency in Microdrainage, Infodrainage, or Flow
