About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist oral healthcare services to paediatric patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat patients with complex dental needs, including those requiring specialist services under local anaesthetic (sedation) and general anaesthesia.
  • Manage waiting lists and coordinate care for patients requiring oral rehabilitation under general anaesthesia.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, training, and education of junior staff, including dental foundation year 2s, clinical dental technicians, and specialist registrars.
  • Contribute to the development and management of clinical services, ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for full UK GDC registration and a Licence to Practise.
  • On GDC Specialist List in Paediatric Dentistry or within six months of attaining CCST.
  • Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCST in Paediatric Dentistry.
