Senior Fire Engineer - EWS Lead

SOCOTEC's Fire Engineering and Safety Teams are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Engineer to lead our EWS (External Wall System) team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to our clients and colleagues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fire safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement fire risk appraisal reports to PAS 9980
  • Prepare technical engineering analysis for alternative design and installation methods related to façade fire safety design
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety issues and develop well-supported fire engineered solutions
  • Manage projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive the technical development of the fire engineering team
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify business development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (fire, mechanical, structural, civil or similar field)
  • Postgraduate fire engineering qualification (certificate, diploma or masters)
  • Chartership (or working towards Chartership) and full membership with the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers)
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with regards to Microsoft Word/Outlook and Bluebeam
