We are seeking a highly skilled Bicycle Technician to join our team in Nottingham. As a Cycle Tech at Evans Cycles, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional bicycle repair and maintenance services to our customers.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality bicycle repairs, servicing, and maintenance while providing excellent customer service and advice. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues accurately, ensuring all repaired bicycles meet the highest quality standards and safety regulations.

Our ideal candidate has proficiency in bicycle mechanics, including the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of bicycle types and components. Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is highly desirable, and knowledge of various bicycle brands, models, and components is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bicycle Repairs: Perform a wide range of bicycle repairs, including brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, drivetrain maintenance, and suspension service.
  • Bicycle Assembly: Assemble new bicycles according to manufacturer guidelines and store standards, ensuring they are safe and ready for sale.
  • Service Consultations: Interact with customers to assess their bicycle repair and maintenance needs, providing recommendations and cost estimates for services.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections on bicycles to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in bicycle mechanics and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately.
  • Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of various bicycle brands, models, and components.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
