Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified Orthoptist to join our team at Southend University Hospital. This full-time role provides a supportive environment for newly qualified professionals, with the option to develop into the Band 6 role through our BIOS preceptorship programme.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, comprising Orthoptists, Optometrists, Medical staff, and nurses. Key responsibilities include participating in joint paediatric clinics, emergency eye casualty clinics, and providing clear explanations and empathetic support to patients of all ages.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Appropriate degree in Orthoptics or a related field
- Driving licence
- Visual fields and OCT skills
