About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor Hanover. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs and expectations of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Minimise food waste and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or other relevant staff members.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous experience in a catering or food service role, with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience of working with older people and understanding their needs and requirements.

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
