About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Digital Transformation to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation across our audience-facing digital products.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of change initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
  2. Identify training needs and facilitate development programs to equip employees with the necessary skills for our future vision.
  3. Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of change initiatives and make data-driven adjustments where needed.
  4. Identify potential risks associated with change initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
  5. Work with senior stakeholders and the wider business to identify how change impacts the organization and quantify its benefits to encourage engagement.
  6. Engage with all relevant aspects of the business to make a clear change impact assessment and help leaders understand this.
  7. Identify opportunities for change and transformation within our organization and across the BBC.
  8. Lead strategic planning, implementation of change activities, and resolve escalated issues.
  9. Responsible for directing the change team, including objective-setting, monitoring quality, and progress.
  10. Role-model good practice change management, capabilities behaviors, and help the BBC enhance its CM approach in its new digital future.
  11. Identify and manage risks, providing mitigation plans where possible and making senior stakeholders aware of risks threatening the smooth running of the change program.
  12. Lead the development and delivery of relevant assessments, plans, processes, and materials to enable change, such as business readiness assessments, change sustainability plans, new processes, training, benefits realization plans, and tracking.
  13. May include implementing sustainability plans, monitoring adoption, reporting on change effectiveness, and measuring, analyzing, and responding to performance metrics.
  14. Provide leadership for the change management profession at the BBC, inspiring others and applying specialist knowledge and experience to grow CM maturity.
  15. Be an ambassador for CM and advocate for good practice internally and externally, helping to promote the BBC and develop positive relationships with external organizations.
  16. May take a lead in the management of change management resources deployed onto programs or within a business function.

Requirements

  1. Relevant qualification, including one or more of Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Master), APMG - Change Management Practitioner.
  2. Experience leading the initiation, management, and implementation of change via large-scale transformational change programs.
  3. Strong demonstrable understanding and approach to benefits management, from strategy to realization.
  4. In-depth working knowledge of the principles and concepts that underpin change management and able to advise with authority senior stakeholders on 'good practice approach' to business change.
  5. Experience in stakeholder management on complex/sensitive programs and at senior executive levels.
  6. Experience of facilitating and monitoring change.
  7. Strong people management, decision-making, and organizational skills, and a high awareness of the project/program context and discipline. Fully proficient at planning, risk, and dependency management.
