We are seeking a Service Manager to lead our Responsive Repairs Team in Cornwall. This regional role involves regular travel within the county and occasional visits to our Exeter office.
A full UK clean driving licence is required for this position. The successful candidate will work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As a Service Manager, you will report to the Regional Head of Service and be responsible for:
- Managing a team to deliver programmed works in customers' homes.
- Monitoring operative productivity and work quality, conducting quality audits of work and materials.
- Ensuring financial controls are in place and adequate resources are available.
- Managing subcontractors' performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitoring vehicle stock levels and material management.
- Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Investigating and responding to customer complaints and quality issues.
- Supporting the protection and safety of our customers through safeguarding procedures.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in delivering excellent customer-focused repair services.
- Leadership and management experience, with a track record of developing and motivating operational teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of building maintenance, Decent Homes Standards, and safety legislation.
- Knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
- Experience with repairs management information systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable qualifications include experience with stock condition software and handheld devices, as well as knowledge of building maintenance technical operations.
