We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our Referral & Assessment Team in Luton, working full time for Sanctuary Personnel Ltd.

Primary Duties
  1. Develop and implement effective assessment strategies for children in need, leveraging the Department of Education's support document and considering factors that may impact a child's well-being.
  2. Lead interagency collaborations to prevent and address child protection concerns, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and collective decision-making.
  3. Pursue statutory duties under The Children Act 1989 and related legislation, prioritizing the safety and best interests of children and their families.
  4. Foster strong relationships with children and their families, empowering them through direct work and promoting their voices, wishes, and feelings within the assessment process.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of cases within Liquid Logic, adhering to GDPR principles and ensuring timely completion of essential tasks.
  6. Prepare court-ready witness statements as needed, upholding the standards of internal and external agencies while respecting Luton Borough Council's policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications
  • A recognized social work qualification or its equivalent.
  • Ongoing professional development, solidified by registration with Social Work England.
