Job Summary

The University of Oxford is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Associate Professorship in Comparative Central and Eastern European Politics. This is a joint post between the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) and the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and supervise in comparative Central and East European politics at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Contribute to the graduate research design or methods teaching sequences across both departments.
  • Act as a College Adviser for graduate students and contribute to the convening of talks and events for the centres at St Antony's College.
  • Play a leading role in the development and delivery of Central and Eastern European politics training within graduate and undergraduate programmes.
  • Contribute to core courses and as appropriate, to other graduate core courses in politics, including methods and research design training.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong research background in comparative Central and East European politics and a proven track record of teaching and supervision.
