TeacherActive is proud to be working with schools in Stoke-on-Trent that support children with Special Needs, ranging from Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) to Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). These schools cater to children with needs such as disruptive behaviour, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, and Autism.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Work with students, including outdoor activities and various teaching methods to support children
  • Fill day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements in SEND schools
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 6 months of previous SEND experience required
  • Calm and caring personality, flexibility, and ability to cover classes last minute
  • Adapting tasks to meet the needs of individual children, effective behaviour management skills, and strong communication with staff
