About the Role

As a software developer in our scientific software development team at Cambridge Environmental Research Consultants Ltd, you will be working on the development of our software products, including the ADMS suite of models. The ADMS suite is primarily developed in Fortran, but other languages like R and Python are also used. Your tasks will include the design and implementation of new features and model enhancements, testing and validation of the model, and the creation of user documentation. You will also be required to give presentations at scientific meetings. A strong background in physical science, such as maths, physics, chemistry, meteorology, or engineering, is essential at graduate level or higher. You should enjoy coding and have experience with coding mathematical programs in Fortran, Python, MATLAB, or similar. You must be able to approach scientific problems with intellectual rigor and consider the practical needs of users. We encourage and fund professional membership and provide formal training through attendance of our training courses and additional training when appropriate to your role.
