Job Title: Senior Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at St Thomas' CE Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver targeted intervention to support class teachers in the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Cover classes while teachers are on PPA, Leadership Time, or ECT time.
  • Teach all curriculum subjects across the whole school, from Reception to Year 6.
  • Support the development of students' literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of lessons and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification to perform the tasks of a HLTA.
  • Experience of teaching and working with primary-aged pupils across all phases.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent skills in the curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and work independently and under their own initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Well-organized and positive outlook.
  • Support the Christian ethos of the school.
