Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Wigan

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Wigan. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students, working closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to students.
  • Assist with the management of the classroom, including maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to provide additional support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other relevant staff.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification (Level 3 or 4) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
