About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Quilter. As a key member of our Data Protection function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice to the business on data protection matters, including regulatory compliance and data protection impact assessments.
  • Support the Group Data Protection Officer in assessing and challenging the effectiveness of first-line processes, procedures, and training.
  • Manage data protection incidents and breaches, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of data protection awareness and compliance.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Experience in data protection compliance, including data protection impact assessments and incident management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
