Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection and Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Compliance with Data Protection Regulations:** Ensure that the company's data protection policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • **Data Protection Advice:** Provide expert advice to internal teams on data protection matters, including the application of legislation to business operations.
  • **Data Protection Breach Management:** Lead and investigate incidents involving personal data, including data protection breaches.
  • **Data Subject Rights:** Manage and respond to data subject rights requests received by the organization.
  • **Documentation and Record-Keeping:** Maintain centralized documentation of activities related to data processing, data sharing, and data storage.
  • **Training and Awareness:** Design, organize, and deliver training programs to ensure awareness of data protection and corporate compliance requirements throughout the organization.
  • **Collaboration with Stakeholders:** Work closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with data protection legislation and corporate compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • **Strong Knowledge of Data Protection Legislation:** Possess a strong understanding of relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • **Excellent Communication Skills:** Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating and reporting priorities, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • **Attention to Detail:** Possess attention to detail and ability to prioritize and balance work flows within a busy environment.
  • **Flexibility:** Be flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team.
