About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Integrated Stroke Early Supported Discharge and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, delivering evidence-based specialist psychology programmes to support patients with complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a clinical caseload across Cambridgeshire, working collaboratively with a team of professionals to provide high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist psychology for the Stroke Early Supported Discharge and Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service, using evidence-based practice, ensuring clinical care is effective and appropriate, promoting independence and ensuring patients receive the appropriate care.
  • Ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept, report any issues, and be responsible for initiating and coordinating case conferences when indicated to ensure integrated care and planning.
  • Work within Trust and HCPC guidelines, demonstrating a good working knowledge of national and local standards in line with legal and operational requirements.

Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Professional knowledge in Neuro Rehabilitation including Stroke rehabilitation.
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
