Deliver Marine Protected Areas advocacy within the North Sea

The role involves being a key stakeholder in Marine Conservation Zone and Natura 2000 projects, securing positive outcomes for marine wildlife through well-managed MPAs.

You will be responsible for advocating for marine conservation objectives of the Marine and Coastal Act (2009), raising awareness to deliver benefits for marine wildlife through Trust staff and volunteer work.

  • Proven management and advocacy experience in marine wildlife conservation
  • Good understanding of marine wildlife conservation issues
  • Good understanding of marine policy, including the Marine Act, Marine Protected Area network, Marine Spatial Planning, and Fisheries

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective advocacy for Marine Protected Areas within the North Sea
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on Marine Conservation Zone and Natura 2000 projects
  • Raise awareness of marine conservation objectives and benefits

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in marine wildlife conservation management
  • Good understanding of marine policy and conservation issues
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
