An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Facilitate and manage the effective management and movement of patients through all emergency acute care areas.
- Combine clinical expertise, staff utilization, and resource management to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise, promoting excellence in patient care and staff development.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Lead on communication for the department, working closely with external agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
- NMC registration with current PIN.
- Minimum of 3 years emergency care experience.
- Substantial experience at Band 6 in an acute care setting.
- Evidence of academic qualification relating to Emergency Care.
- Mentorship course.
- Emergency Care Pathway.
- Leadership experience.
- Evidence of championing diversity and equalities in previous roles.
- Evidence of undertaking own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
