Job Role Overview

As a Forest School Leader, you will be responsible for delivering engaging outdoor learning sessions to students with various needs, promoting learning in the natural environment and the ethos of Forest School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support students' learning and development, focusing on building resilience, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, participating in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and evaluation reports, aligning with school expectations and quality assurance cycles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Forest School Leader Level 3 or higher qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina for outdoor work, with regular bending, kneeling, and crouching required.
