We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team at ACS Construction Group Ltd. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and review our HSE management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and 14001 requirements, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Manage and implement site documentation, including the construction phase plan, environmental management plan, traffic management plan, emergency response plan, and waste management.
  • Conduct site safety inspections and audits, providing guidance and recommendations to site and contracts managers.
  • Chair safety meetings with employees and participate in client site-specific meetings and consultative forums.
  • Review subcontractor risk assessments and method statements, COSHH assessments, and implement control measures to eliminate risks.
  • Assist with the development of risk assessments and implement ACS safety-critical operating procedures.
  • Plan, conduct, and implement training for operatives, staff, and management in aspects of HSE.
  • Liaise with clients regarding HSE-related matters.
  • Assist with monthly KPI reporting and share with the HSE Manager and Board.
  • Promote a positive behavioural-based safety and just culture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a safety, health, and environmental role.
  • Nebosh Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent.
  • IEMA Environmental Management certificate.
  • Nebosh General Certificate and/or Nebosh Construction Certificate.
  • Experience with monitoring and review of working at height activities.
  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Computer and technical literacy.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
