About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the Energy, Water and Resources portfolio at Arup. As a key member of our mechanical team, you will be responsible for delivering projects that benefit society, industry, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment from concept through to detailed design
  • Develop and implement mechanical equipment selection and application in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects that may include water & wastewater treatment and supply, flood alleviation, hydro power, and industrial water and process systems
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex technical challenges
Requirements
  • Chartered through IMechE or other relevant body
  • Knowledge of mechanical design standards and safety systems
  • Skills in relevant design tools and software, including BIM, Plant 3D, Revit, or other specialist packages
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
