Fire Service Procurement Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the procurement of goods and services including personal protective equipment, operational equipment and training services.
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement process is fair, transparent and compliant with relevant legislation.
You will also be responsible for building relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices and be able to apply this knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Flexible working arrangements are available based around a 35 hour working week and there are opportunities for professional development and career progression.
We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
Other benefits include 23 days holiday rising to 28 after 5 years' service, plus Bank holidays and 2 additional Extra Statutory days, access to a free gym, free secure parking and a staff canteen as well as a Local Government Pension scheme.
