The Briggs Equipment Group, a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland, is seeking an experienced Forklift Engineer Trainee to join their team.
This 4-year apprenticeship program provides the opportunity to become a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer. As a key member of the Briggs Equipment Group team, you will be responsible for fault-finding, maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various materials handling and powered access equipment.
You will gain hands-on experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, and eventually working independently as a qualified engineer.
The role offers extensive training through Briggs Academy and OEM partners, including an Outward Bound experience. Upon successful completion of the 4-year program and subject to satisfactory performance, you will be considered for a permanent contract as a fully qualified engineer with a starting salary of approximately £30,000 dependent on location.
