Location: Hailsham
Our client is a leading provider of specialist equipment designed and manufactured in-house for the Advanced Materials industry. Their technology is sold throughout the world and offers customers research or production scale machine to process feedstock material into a range of high value-added products for the aerospace, defence, and general engineering sectors.
About the Role:
As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play an integral part in identifying new business whilst maximising the relationship with our existing customers. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop and execute a sales strategy for the business.
You will use your experience and industry knowledge to maintain an up-to-date awareness of the market and our competitors and use this information to support the sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline with sufficient growth opportunities to meet income and gross margin targets.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical competence in the features and functions of the company's products.
- Preparation of technical proposals to a high level of technical and financial accuracy.
- Production of weekly sales platform & performance reports.
- Provide feedback on customers, competitors, opportunities, markets, pipeline, and other sales related activities at weekly sales reviews.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to facilitate close working relationships with customers, prospects, and our own personnel.
- A self-motivated personality, with the drive to achieve excellence in all activities undertaken.
- The role may also include other tasks and duties that may be required as directed by the board.
- Attendance required at exhibitions & conferences.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel globally as required
- Working Hours: 37.5 hour working week
- Holiday entitlement: Year 1 = 22 days / Year 2 onwards = 25 days (Plus, Bank holidays)
