About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Solar Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our renewable energy projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to organizational HSE risk parameters.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and maintain key construction management documents, including integrated construction programs, construction budgets, and risk registers.
- Coordinate all BayWa appointed parties involved in construction, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Organize and chair monthly site meetings with contractors, landowners, and other stakeholders, promoting transparency and open communication.
- Provide regular progress updates to project sponsors and UK management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
- Identify and manage construction advisors, including HSE, engineering, and technical QA experts, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE process and approach for the project, including sign-off by BayWa's H&S Manager.
- Ensure BayWa's H&S advisor and contractor audits are conducted in line with defined procedures, monitoring implementation of recommendations.
- Own BayWa's response to any incidents, reporting to senior management as necessary.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project construction, with significant experience in coordinating large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of construction contract administration, with excellent communication and project management skills.
