About the Role:

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Design Engineer to join our rapidly expanding renewable energy team. As a Senior Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing PV systems using industry-leading software and providing technical expertise to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing PV systems using PVSol, PVSyst, PVCase, or other PV design software.
  • Supporting projects by providing design layouts, system specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Conducting technical site surveys nationwide.
  • Attending client meetings and building rapport to coordinate and develop solutions.
  • Supporting the commercial team in preparing technical submission documents and tenders from a technical perspective.
  • Upholding a robust health and safety culture across the company.
  • Gaining and maintaining knowledge of the latest Electrical Codes.
  • Applying BS 7671 wiring regulations and IET CoP for solar PV installations.

About You:

  • Proven track record and experience in the design, specification, or construction of solar PV projects as a consultant or EPC contractor.
  • Ability to produce formal reports and documents.
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, diligent, and with an eye for detail.
  • Looking to achieve a chartership in their chosen institute.

Qualifications:

Engineering degree and/or master's degree in a related subject.

Driver's license to access remote sites.
