Adult Care Support Specialist

About the Role:
This role involves supporting social workers in assessing relatives or friends to care for children & young people when their own parents are not able. You will be responsible for contacting potential foster carers, introducing yourself/the service, and explaining the assessment process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contacting potential foster carers to introduce yourself and the service
- Explaining the assessment process and why it is taking place
- Keeping records up to date using electronic systems
- Communicating effectively with social workers and other professionals
- Meeting with potential applicants to help them complete paperwork and ensure they understand the process
Required Skills:
- Strong administration and IT skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Clear, concise record-keeping skills
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues and other agencies
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
