Job Title: Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team at MM Search. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for leading financial analysis and planning activities across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Create and develop complex financial models to address the impact of potential business and operational decisions.
  2. Lead the annual and long-term budgeting processes for allocated business units.
  3. Work closely with the DSFBP to design and implement a program of optimisation and efficiencies.
  4. Provide finance business partner support for assigned cost centres, organisational business cases, Human Resources, key Procurement decisions, Fundraising Marketing and Communications, Facilities management, Accommodation and Capital projects.
Financial Reporting:
  1. Lead the operation and continued development of the system of financial reporting for budget monitoring and forecasting.
  2. Lead the quarterly forecasting processes for allocated business units.
  3. Create, operate and develop KPI reporting processes and procedures.
Leadership and Team:
  1. Ensure the wider organisation has a solid understanding of the financial objectives and the challenges and risks connected to these objectives.
  2. Be a member of the Senior Management Team of the organisation.
  3. Perform other tasks typically required of an FPA Manager role as necessary.
Person Specification:

Essential: Fully qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).

Desirable Skills and Qualities:

  1. Highly proficient in creating, operating and developing financial reports and models using Microsoft Excel.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  3. Continuous improvement mindset - proactive and keen to find more efficient ways of working.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the presence to challenge senior managers effectively.
