Culinary Specialist

Culinary Specialist sought to join Brasenose College team in Oxford, England. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic kitchen environment with a reputation for excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals in accordance with college standards and maintaining the kitchen and its associated areas in a clean and hygienic condition. They will also assist in menu planning and staff rotas, as well as train and develop subordinate staff members. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the checking and storing of supplies, using the online ordering system, and maintaining kitchen hygiene.
This role reports to the Head Chef and requires excellent organisational, prioritising, and time management skills. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on previous experience. Benefits include access to the University Sports club, free meals while working, and a non-contractual college bonus payable in December if finances permit.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent catering qualifications
- Ability to lead a team and work without direct supervision
- Good knowledge and understanding of stock control and wastage reduction
- Excellent organisational, prioritising, and time management skills
