Key Account Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between customers and business operations, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Establish and maintain detailed contract year operational objectives, working closely with operations to develop action plans that meet customer program requirements.
- Manage adherence to program plans and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate control systems and reports, measuring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular reviews and feedback, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
- Communicate impact and recovery plans to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Ensure contractual commitments are met, managing information and customer reporting to drive business success.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met, driving production, procurement, quality control, logistics, and administrative functions.
- Obtain customer approvals for work scope changes and special purchase requests, ensuring seamless execution.
- Act as an escalation contact for customers, managing performance and customer needs to drive satisfaction and growth.
- Provide alternative solutions to customers, including submission of over and above requests.
- Work with operations and supply chain to develop and submit over and above quotations to customers.
- Review invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies and disputes to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary contact, assisting in the review and approval of customer proposals.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the department, driving business success and growth.
Competencies
We're looking for individuals with:
- Adequate financial acumen, with prior experience in customer estimates and invoices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make sound business decisions, provide advice on strategic solutions, and implement problem-solving techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills to interact with customer services representatives and develop commercial/contract knowledge of shop floor team leaders.
- Experience building strong working relations with customers.
- Strong working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment, including Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Power BI.
