This part-time position is available at The Hub School, an institution committed to providing specialist support for vulnerable young people. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with Secondary-age students and possess the ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers, and professionals working with them.

The successful applicant will work with minimal supervision to support students who are placed on alternative learning and vocational programmes at local colleges and training providers within the East Riding of Yorkshire region.

The working hours are from 08:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday and 08:30 to 16:00pm on a Friday during the school term. In addition to regular working hours, the employee will be paid for an extra 37 hours per year to attend team meetings and training and development that sits outside their normal working hours.

Some travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Work with students who are placed on alternative learning and vocational programmes.
  • Relate effectively to students, their parents/carers, and professionals working with them.
  • Visit students on placements, which may be spread throughout the county.

Requirements:

  • A good standard of education, including numeracy and literacy at GCSE grade C/5 or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with Secondary-age students.
  • The ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers, and professionals working with them.
  • The use of a car is essential for this role.
