Centre for Advanced Training Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) team as a trainee. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of our CAT programme, working closely with our expert CAT team to hone a range of skills including organisation and time management, youth safeguarding, copywriting, social media and marketing, minute-taking, and youth support.
Key Responsibilities- Support the CAT Team on programme delivery days and performance events.
- Be a point of contact for teaching assistants, in relation to time off, scheduling, training and cover.
- Liaise with the CAT Physical Therapy Team, organising student appointments for screenings, conditioning sessions and follow-up appointments.
- Help to create marketing material for CAT projects.
- Report any serious pastoral and/or safeguarding concerns to management or a safeguarding officer in line with The Place's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Help deliver student tutorials where needed.
- Create forms for the purposes of data collection.
- Help to create, maintain and update relevant databases.
- Support the CAT Team in registration of students and monitoring of student attendance, ensuring they attend all relevant classes/appointments in line with Individual Training Plans.
- Assist with student finance enquiries.
- Draft copy for and assist in the promotion and marketing of CAT Programmes through The Place website, social and print media, in line with The Place and National CAT guidelines.
- Knowledge of the dance sectors and/or dance education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- IT literate.
- Experience working/interacting with children (aged 10+).
- Interest in developing a career in dance education administration.
The successful candidate will participate in a Creative Access support programme that sits alongside workplace training, including a programme of induction training, monthly masterclasses, wellbeing support, buddying/mentoring, and more.
