Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Low Intensity CBT Practitioner, you will work with children and young people who require mental health support within education settings.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced Education Mental Health Professional to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions, such as Low Intensity CBT, to support their mental wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver Low Intensity CBT interventions to children and young people within education provisions.
  • Hold a caseload and provide short-term evidence-based interventions to children, families, and young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of the whole school approach within education provisions.
  • Liaise with schools, families, local authorities, and other organisations to ensure a timely response to local need.
Requirements
  • Recognised EMHP or CYP WP qualification
  • Ability to undertake CBT assessment
  • Experience of working in MHST or CAMHS team (in training or post qualifying)
  • Car driver and access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management
