About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with FP&A managers for Property and Operations areas, reporting to the Head of FP&A. This role has overall responsibility for Group financial planning, requiring a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the People Director, COO, and Exec on head office performance
  • Forecast all overhead costs and consolidated head office forecast, including recharging and converting to Unite share
  • Own head office(s) headcount forecast
  • Assess the impact of head office change programmes, including Edison and small-scale changes
  • Act as central contact for all cost centres and cost centre business partnering at Unite
  • Manage individual responsibility for corporate costs centres, such as HR, IT, Finance, and Directors
  • Collaborate with the management accounting team
  • Effectively manage one business partner, including performance management, 1-1 meetings, personal development needs, and coaching
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience working in Oracle EPM preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, including inspiring trust and influencing, communicating technical financial information, adapting style and content for different audiences, and presenting confidently and credibly
  • Evidence of working in a fast-paced, high-change environment and managing multiple demands effectively while maintaining accuracy, quality, and attention to detail
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with senior internal and external business stakeholders
  • Ability to provide challenge and hold commercial teams accountable to drive business performance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to understand, empathise with, and deliver against customer needs
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to undertake challenging tasks
