Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Receptionist-Phlebotomy to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

As a Receptionist-Phlebotomy, you will be the first point of contact for patients arriving for blood tests. You will be responsible for checking all requirements have been followed, using the Zesty booking system and the ICE Pathology IT system to print off blood forms, and providing excellent customer care skills to our patients.

You will also be responsible for booking patients in for their blood tests, taking telephone calls to the department, and liaising with the supervisor on any issues and the flow of patients entering the department.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Receiving patients arriving for blood tests and checking all requirements have been followed.
  • Using the Zesty booking system and the ICE Pathology IT system to print off blood forms.
  • First point of contact for patient's questions and queries.
  • Taking telephone calls to the department.
  • Liaising with supervisor on any issues and the flow of patients entering the department.
